eso milestones



1977   Erwin Münz and Reinhold Fischer found the company eso GmbH, and sell the first twin light barrier PEK3131 to the Bavarian police in the same year

1981
 
The first company building in Tettnang is constructed

1982

The triple light barrier µP80 receives government approval by the German Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt PTB. At that time, the light barrier was wired and had mechanical controls

1986

The triple light barrier µP80 was improved significantly and now offers radio controlled camera support and a far smaller control panel

1987

Service center Munich

1989

Construction of the second company building in Tettnang. Construction of the Tettnanger Sportarena begins.

1991

Delivery of the 300th triple light barrier µP80 to the Saxonian state ministry in Dresden. Tape-cutting ceremony in the Tettnang Sportsarena after nearly 2 years of construction works.

1992

Foundation of smf, authorized leasing and distribution company of eso products

1999

First government approval for the single-side sensor ES1.0. Reinhold Fischer sells his company shares to Christoph Münz who since operates eso GmbH together with his father Erwin Münz.

2000

H&L Software GmbH and eso join forces for image evaluation products

2001

After the first pilot project has been finished successfully, sales of the computer based evaluation system esoDigitales I commences.

2005

In co-operation with the Hessian police school, the service centre Wiesbaden is established. The 200th single-side sensor ES1.0 is delivered to the police department of the city of Munich.

2006

First approval for the fully digital speed measuring system ES3.0. This system is completely self-developed; in the nearly 30 year lasting company history, this is the biggest milestone. Sales for esoDigitales II commences. Constructions for the new company building in Tettnang start.

2007

Distribution companies are founded on three continents. ES3.0 receives government approval in different countries. It's eso's birthday on July 1st 2007: eso is now 30 years old!
