WLAN radio-enabled documentation camera FE4.1

Usage

Single-side sensor ES3.0 with WLAN radio-enabled camera assigned, easy to use through the ES3.0 touch screen and ready to use in any location

The WLAN radio-enabled camera unit FE4.1 offers highest flexibility on location. Bikers can be documented beyond doubt by sychroneously triggering the front and rear camera. Another invention is the possibility to monitor both incoming and outgoing traffic non-attentively, using just one measurement unit ES3.0 and two camera units.

The mobile computer controlled digital radion-enabled camera unit FE4.1 is used in conjunction with the speed measurement unit ES3.0 to capture additional front photos in situations when e.g. the drivers in cars on the opposite side of the road should be identified.

The digital WLAN enabled camera unit FE4.1 is equipped with a remote-controlled zoom lens by default. It is built into a weatherproof case and is used on a tripod.

The trigger is a radio module of the speed measurement device ES3.0.

Using it is easy and self-explanatory, and is possible without having major computer knowledge. Camera settings are selected on the ES3.0 touch screen. The images are cached in the FE4.1 and simultaneously transmitted to the computing unit of ES3.0 using WLAN. There they are displayed and - if required - used for evaluation in esoDigitales II ergoTouch in real-time. All images from FE4.1 are transmitted; up to 2600 images can be stored in the camera unit.

The FE4.1 features an integrated industrial PC running Windows XP Embedded. This enables us to react quickly to adaptions and modifications required.

The main advantages:

  • Touch screen for high usability
  • Very compact and leight-weight casing with separate flash unit
  • Pictures are assigned automatically and beyond doubt
  • Simultaneous triggering of FE3.0 / F5.0 and the WLAN camera allows for documentation of bikers beyond doubt
  • Very convincing picture quality
  • Pictures are transferred synchroneously into the vehicle using WLAN technolgy
  • Integrated computing unit following industry standards
  • Camera can be remote-controlled via WLAN - change focus, zoom and camera angle from the vehicle
  • Encrypted transmission of pictures via 3G to allow a unit further down the road to stop the speeding vehicle instantly

Flash unit BE1.1

The BE1.1 is a flash unit which has been specifically designed for traffic monitoring. To allow for an increased illumination level at the time the flash is triggered - especially in locations with long distance between speed measurement device and camera unit - the flash unit can be set up separately to suit any location conditions. This guarantees high readability of reflective registration plates and good illumination of the vehicle's interior. For proper evaluation including the offending driver, a flash unit is highly recommended. The flash unit can be combined with camera units FE2.0, FE2.4 and FE3.0.
