Camera Unit FE 3.0

The digital camera unit FE3.0 features a remote controlled 4x zoom lens. The very small and 4.4 kg lightweight FE3.0 can easily be hidden under the crash barrier, between parking cars or far from the road.
The settings are changed in the measurement vehicle via touch screen. The images are transmitted to the vehicle in real time and displayed to the user on the touch screen: Optimal quality control in the vehicle! FE3.0 can be remote-controlled from the vehicle. A simple push of a button on the monitor sets focus, diaphragm etc. Fine-positioning of the camera can be done from the vehicle, too. A new feature is the remote-controlled zoom lens. Featuring 4 different zoom levels, each one can be selected via a button. No more annoying manual changing of lenses!

Technical data
The digital camera unit FE3.0 features a remote-controlled zoom lens. It is housed in a weather proof case and is used on a tripod. When a vehicle exceeds the speed limit, a digital photo is taken at exactly the time the vehicle has passed the middle sensor plus 3 metres. It is then transmitted to the computing unit, where it is combined with the captured data in a single file; this file is then encrypted, signed and saved on the computer's harddrive.
Documentation photos are only taken from vehicles which cause a valid measured value, which exceeds a certain programmable threshold and which were measured within a programmable distance range. ES3.0 allows programming of two different speed thresholds.
The thresholds can also be applied to the directions or to two different distance ranges (lanes).
The camera triggers immediately after the preliminary determination of the speed of the vehicle by evaluating the data until the car cas reached exactly 3 m past the middle sensor, if that peliminary speed exceeds the threshold; and if the vehicle was measured within the programmed distance range (Pre-measuring). The data is only combined with the photo to a single file after the exact speed measuring. If the measurement is invalid, the photo is deleted and the measurement data is only saved for statistical purposes.

The flash unit BE1.1 has been developed specifically for traffic monitoring. To achieve an enhanced illumination of the location - especially when there is a major distance between speed measuring device and camera unit - the flash unit can be set up separately from the camera unit. This ensures high readability even of reflexive registration plates and illumination of the vehicle's passenger cabin. For recognizing the driver, usage of the flash unit is essential. The flash unit is compatible with the camera units FE2.0, FE2.4 and FE3.0.
