Single side sensor ES3.0 stationary

For instance: You have a single side sensor ES 3.0 and you want to get into the stationary traffic supervision? Then we are the right partner! Use your mobile single side sensor ES3.0 for the stationary unit too. Take the benefits of our optical technology.

Take the benefits of our optical technology:

  • Almost all components from the mobile version can be used for the stationary system!
  • Optical sensor, no road works necessary.
  • Both traffic directions can be monitored at the same time.
  • Vcompletely automated speed enforcement unit with digital camera.
  • 3 lanes can be documented with only one digital camera unit FE3.0 ST.
  • Optimal images, very good driver and license plate recognition.
  • No half-yearly maintenance required by law.
  • Device can be completely relocated!
  • Non-ambiguous assignment through lane selection and speed independent photo point.
  • Turn-off lanes and bus lanes can be excluded.
  • All measurement data and photos are secured by a public key. Therefore, only unmodified pictures and measurement files can be evaluated.
  • Evaluation of the data can be performed at any place.

A novelty, both traffic directions can be monitored at the same time!

Incoming and receding traffic can be measured simultaneously and with only one officer present. No second sensor head or operation device is required.

Description of operation

Measuring principle

The measurement principle of ES3.0 is based on measuring distance and time. The velocity (v) of a vehicle results from the measurement base (s) and the time (t) in which the vehicle passes through the measurement base. When driving through the measurement base, in each of the five sensors a brightness profile is captured, digitalized and stored. The brightness profiles of the three parallel oriented sensors are used for determining the temporal offset which is used for calculating the speed.Because of the optical measuring principle compared to the loop measuring principle the eso company provides a wear less solution. With the single side sensor ES3.0 it is possible to monitor up to 3 lanes or both directions of travelling at the same time.

The basic configuration of ES3.0 consists of a sensor head on a tripod, a computer unit with measurement expansion card, a touch-screen monitor, a digital camera unit FE3.0 and corresponding accessories.
To increase the illumination of the photo area, especially during darkness, a flash unit BE1.1 is used.
The ES3.0 can be plied with an additional photo device (if necessary, with another flash unit). In this configuration, speed measurements with frontal photo documentation for driver identification can be performed either in both traffic directions or for several lanes simultaneously..
The single side sensor ES3.0 ST can be located beside the road or in the middle of a motorway (between the lanes).

The measurement values equaling or exceeding the pre-set speed threshold are saved in the computer and can be transferred to another system using a storage device (USB2.0 memory stick).

The single-side sensor is suited for any traffic setup, e.g. in areas with reduced speed limits, on curvy roads, on highways with 4 lanes, on motorways etc. Motorcyclists can be documented as proof by triggering front and rear camera simultaneously.

The stationary eso speed enforcement unit ES3.0 ST consists of following components:

  • One digital camera unit FE3.0 for monitoring and evidential photography documentation of one traffic direction on up to three lanes.
  • One measurement unit ES3.0 with computer unit RE3.0 and monitor (touch screen).
  • One flash unit BE1.1 ST.
  • Two eso security posts (protected against vandalism).
  • An optional camera FE3.0 with extra flash unit can be used for documantation of the incomming and running off traffic simultaniously.

Scenarios

In curves

For decades eso traffic enforcement devices have proven reliable in curves, on hills and in complex traffic situations. The ES3.0 is no different from this philosophy.

On construction sites

Measuring across crash barriers. The small measurement base of 0.5 m allows an exact measurement near construction sites.

Motor bikers, scooter drivers etc.

Legally robust - simultaneous triggering of front and rear camera allows for taking a registration plate and a driver picture.

Parallel driving cars

Where earlier systems failed, the single-side sensor ES3.0 can give you the evidence. Even if several vehicles drive next to each other on multiple lanes, the speeding car can be precisely determined.

In tunnels

The single-side sensor ES3.0 is a passive device. It does not emit anything and therefore can not be detected. No bent ray reflexions can occur with this device.

Speeding vehicles not keeping the minimum distance

The measurement is done from the side of the road. This ensures that even drivers ignoring minimum distance can be safely determined and convicted.

Scenarios

All from one side. Hidden measurement. The fixed photo point allows for photographing through the measured vehicle's side window.

Each camera unit can be used for e.g. measuring one lane.

An additional camera unit can be used for documenting incoming and receding traffic. Only one sensor is required. This allows for very effective and costeffective measuring of both traffic directions.
